Job Experience
I currently work as a Clinical Receptionist and Insurance Specialist at Abundant Hope Integrated Solutions in Flagstaff, AZ, where I oversee patient scheduling, check-ins, billing coordination, and clinical support in a fast-paced behavioral-health environment. I communicate daily with insurance companies to process claims, manage grievances, and correct denied submissions, ensuring accurate reimbursement for the clinic. I use SimplePractice EMR to maintain records, support providers with DSM-5–informed communication, and assist with inventory, prescriptions, and clinical tasks. This role has strengthened my ability to manage complex insurance workflows while maintaining a supportive and compassionate patient experience.
Previously, I served as the Practice Manager for Healing & Psychiatry PLLC, where I directed daily clinic operations including patient communication, prior authorizations, medication processing, chart accuracy, referrals, and lab coordination. I maintained EMR integrity, ensured compliance with HIPAA regulations, and managed QuickBooks functions such as payroll, billing, and collections. I also assisted with clinical processes such as vitals, patient assessments (GAD-7, PHQ-9), and medication sample management. This position expanded my leadership skills and deepened my expertise in psychiatric office administration.
Before that, I worked as a Medical Office Assistant at Psychiatric Services of Prescott, where I handled patient intake, fee collection, chart creation, and EMR updates while providing clinical support such as vitals, document preparation, and workflow coordination. I maintained supply inventory, assisted providers, and supported overall clinic efficiency through strong communication and professionalism.
I also gained experience as a Medical Receptionist at Munderloh Integrated Medical, where I managed scheduling, phone communication, billing, exam-room preparation, vitals, and demographic updates within the EHR. This role gave me foundational experience in integrated medical care settings and strengthened my ability to multitask under pressure.
My earliest long-term experience was as an Office Assistant at Psychiatric Services of Prescott PLLC, where I spent four years supporting front-desk operations, scheduling, patient communication, vitals, and chart management. This position introduced me to healthcare operations and helped me build the strong administrative and clinical foundation that continues to support my career today.
